The General Election was a great success for the Liberal Democrats across the country. Putney candidate Jeremy Ambache said “We now have more than sixty Liberal Democrat MPs, who will be working hard in the next Parliament to provide a real alternative to the Labour government. I am pleased that we were able to increase our vote across the Putney constituency, and I am particularly happy that our vote increased so much in Southfields.“

Southfields Focus Team member Adam Towner commented that in this ward people had switched in large numbers to the Liberal Democrats: “There has been a huge swing in Southfields towards the Lib Dems. We are now poised to take these seats from the Tories in next year’s Council elections, and we will continue to work hard on behalf of local residents.”
