Overview
West Putney is bordered by 2 big parks, the Roehampton Golf Course (on Roehampton Lane) to the west and Putney Heath to the south. Upper Richmond Road forms the northern boundary and part of Putney Hill the eastern.
There are a mix of council estates (the Lower Ashburton, the sprawling Upper Ashburton...) and owner occupied houses or privately rented estates. Even if a large number of council housing have now been bought by its tenants, the Council still holds about a third; a far less amount of housing in this ward (compared to East Putney) is owner-occupied.
