FORMER PUTNEY TORY COUNCILLOR JOINS THE LIB DEMS

CONSERVATIVES NO LONGER REPRESENT REAL PEOPLE IN TODAY’S SOCIETY

9th October 2005

A former Wandsworth councillor has left the Tories to join the Liberal Democrats.

Jeremy Swan served as Conservative Councillor for the Putney ward of Parkside until 2002.

Jeremy Swan joined the Lib Dems because he feels that the Conservatives no longer represent real people in today’s society. “The Lib Dems stand up for the civil liberties that we value so highly in this country. The Conservatives have a very narrow view of the world and are only interested in themselves and people like them! The Liberal Democrats are the only real alternative to this Labour government.
